Barcelona vs Manchester United [3-1] - May 28, 2011

Info: This is the clubs' 11th meeting and the record so far is three wins each and four draws; neither side has won consecutive games. The teams have contested two major finals, Barcelona prevailing in their last meeting in Rome in 2009 while United won their 1991 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup decider in Rotterdam.
It will be one of the biggest match of the year 2011 where Barcelona takes on Manchester United in the Champions League final on May 28,  at Wembley Stadium in London.

Barcelona will come in with three European titles to its name and also, they have already won this La liga season 2010-2011.

Man Utd will come in with three European titles to its name and also, they have already won this Premier League season 2011-2011 which was their 19th title to date.

It will be a final pitting the best long-passing team in the game against the best short-passing team. Many will want to see what, if anything, Manchester United learned from its 2-0 loss to Barcelona in the 2009 final in Rome. So who will get the fourth European title to it's name? Let's see..
Result: Barcelona beat Manchester United by 3-1

Manchester United vs Blackpool - May 22, 2011

Blackpool will face Manchester United at Old Trafford on May, the 22nd, 2011. It is one of the last fixture of the Premier League season 2010-2011 where Man Utd have already secured their 19th league title so it doesn't even matter if Manchester United wins or loses. However, Blackpool is currently at the relegation zone(18th place) with 39 points just below Birmingham city(17th place) who aslo have 39 points. At the same day, at the same time, Birmingham City will be playing against Tottenham. So what's the point? If Birmingham loses to Tottenham and Blackpool wins agaisnt Man Utd in this match, Blackpool will secure their Premier League place for the next season. It will be very hard for Blackpool to attain victory in this match as Ferguson has confirmed that the likes of Darren Fletcher, Paul Scholes, Anderson, Dimitar Berbatov, Patrice Evra and Edwin van der Sar will all play against Blackpool on Sunday which can create problems for Blackpool. David Carney (shoulder) is sidelined for the all-important survival decider, while Chris Basham and Luke Varney are doubts for this game. Last Meeting: Last match between Blackpool and man utd was played on January, the 25th, 2011 where Man utd beat Blackpool by 3-2.

Aston Villa vs Liverpool - May 22, 2011

Liverpool will be facing Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday, May 22, 2011 where Villa will be looking at attain second victory under the guidance of Gary MacAllister While Liverpool Manager, Kenny Dalglish, will be looking to get back into winning ways after being lost to Spurs last week by 2-0. It is one of the last fixture of the Premier League season 2010-2011.

Caretaker boss Gary McAllister is expected to stick with the same team that beat Arsenal 2-1 last Sunday. Cameroon midfielder Jean Makoun is still suffering from a dead leg and is expected to miss out again.

Striker Andy Carroll is likely to start for Liverpool despite the problems caused by a long-standing knee injury. A similar knock is likely to see Raul Meireles sidelined again after he missed the 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

Last meeting: Last match between Aston Villa and Liverpool was played on 6th December, 2010 wher Liverpool thrashed Aston Villa by 3-0.

Everton vs Chelsea - 22 May 2011

Chelsea will be facing Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday the 22nd, May 2011 in the last fixture of EPL Season 2010-2011. Chelsea, who were chasing down Man utd in the title race, could not make it all the way but they will surely finish this season at 2nd place. Everton midfielder Tim Cahill is doubtful for Sunday's final game of the season. The Australian missed last week's defeat at West Brom due to continuing problems with a foot injury and could be given a chance to start his summer break early. Diniyar Bilyaletdinov is suspended after his sending off at The Hawthorns while Marouane Fellaini and Louis Saha are out with ankle injuries.

Chelsea will be without Ramires and Yossi Benayoun for what could be Carlo Ancelotti's final game in charge. Both have picked up hamstring injuries and will sit out the trip to Merseyside alongside Jose Bosingwa, who had already been ruled out with a knee problem. Torres will be in the starting XI who will be seeking to end this season with a goal.

English Premier League fixtures, 22 May, 2011 Last day of the season 2010-2011

English Premier League season 2010-2011 comes to an end on May, the 22nd, 2011 with Manchester United wrapping their 19th Premier League title. Let's take a look at the fixtures for the last day of the season this Sunday 22.5.2011. All 10 matches on the final day will be played at the same time i,e 4:00 PM BST [British Summer Time]

  • Fulham vs Arsenal at Craven Cottage
  • Stoke City vs Wigan at Britannia Stadium
  • Aston Villa vs Liverpool at Villa Park
  • Bolton vs Man City at Reebok Stadium
  • Newcastle vs West Brom  at St James' Park
  • Everton vs Chelsea at Goodison Park
  • Manchester United vs Blackpool at Old Trafford
  • Wolverhampton vs Blackburn at Molineux Stadium
  • Tottenham vs Birmingham at White Hart Lane
  • West Ham vs Sunderland at Upton Park

From above fixtures, the most awaited and interesting match would me between Manchester United and Blackpool as the champions are to lift their 19th title at their home in between huge crowd and in a big huge round of applause.

Man Utd, Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal have already secured their position to play Champions League next year. Here is the current position and points of each of these four teams

1. Manchester United with 77 points
2. Chelsea with with 71 points
3. Man City with 68 points
4. Arsenal with 67 points

Before I stop writing, I would like to glance at the relegation zone. These three teams are currently at the dead end

18. Blackpool with 39 points
19. Wigan with 39 points
20. West Ham with 33 Points

Alas! West Ham has already been relegated. However, Blackpool and Wigan can still possibly make their way out of the relegation zone. You can have a look at the full Barclay's premier table at ESPN

Liverpool vs Tottenham - May 15, 2011

It is the big Sunday as two big sides form English clubs, Liverpool and Tottneham face each other at Anfield, Liverpool. Liverpool have been in blistering form since last few of weeks as they have scored total of 17 goals in their last 5 games.  Let's take a look at the score line of those games

May 9, 2011 Fulham     2 - 5 Liverpool
May 1, 2011 Liverpool  3 - 0 Newcastle
Apr 23, 2011 Liverpool 5 - 0 Birmingham
Apr 17, 2011 Arsenal    1 - 1 Liverpool
Apr 11, 2011 Liverpool 3 - 0 Man City

Liverpool's form has improved to a great extent since the arrival of Kenny Dalglish. And looking at the results from Liverpool under the guidence of this ownderful manager, we can say that If the Premier League began with Kenny Dalglish managing Liverpool, Liverpool would have won their 19th title with the strongest goal difference ever.

On the other hand, Tottenham spurs have only picked up one victory in their last 13 matches in all competitions. That's indeed poor run from Spurs. Also, Gareth Bale won't be playing today against Liverpool as he is out for the rest of the Tottenham season due to injury.

Liverpool will be playing with the same team that hammered Fulham at Craven Cottage on Monday evening, with Kenny Dalglish unlikely to tinker with a team in such fine form. And what about Steven Gerrard? Do you miss him? Well, I do. I wish him all the good luck with his injury and hope that he gets well soon.

Liverpool vs Tottenham match Details:
Cup: English Premier League
Liverpool: 5th place with 58 points
Spurs: 6th place with 56 points
Date: 15.5.2011
Kick Off Time: 4:00 PM BST
Stadium: Anfield, Liverpool
Result: Liverpool 0-2 Tottenham

Chelsea vs Newcastle - 15th May 2011

Newcastle will be travelling to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on May, the 15th, 2011. The apparent infallibility of David Luiz has demised in recent weeks, with the defender looking a little too eager to come forward and intercept at times, and he may be replaced by fellow Brazilian Alex in the center of defence.Carlo Ancelotti will be starting with Fernando Torres as they already secured their second position in the league, so he might want to see some goals from Torres.

Alan Pardew had indicated that midfielder Chiek Tiote may be rested to avoid any possible suspension that would lead into next season, yet Kevin Nolans absence due to ankle surgery may mean the former Southampton boss has to revise his plans.Alan Smith could take his place in central midfield in an otherwise unchanged starting XI, although expect youngsters Nile Ranger and Shane Ferguson to feature from the bench.

Chelsea vs Newcastle Match Details:
Cup: English Premier League
Date: 15.5.2011
Kick off Time: 1:30 PM BST [British Summer Time]
Stadium: Stamford Bridge, Chelsea
Referee: L. Manson
Result: Chelsea 2-2 Newcastle

Arsenal vs Aston Villa - May 15, 2011

Aston Villa will face Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on May, 15 2011 in Barclay's Premier League fixture. Arsenal are still looking to finish this season at second or third place while Aston Villa seek the point that would make them mathematical certainties to retain their Premier League status. Both Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri won't be seen today at the Emirates as they are set to face fitness test. Moreover, Arsenal have a lot to choose from as Van Persie continue to play with his fantastic form this season as he has hit the back of the net once every 99 minutes this Premier League term that is a record bettered by no-one else scoring more than five league goals. On the other hand Aston Villa will be coming to face Arsenal with full squad including Ashley young, Bent and Agbonlahor. Last match between Arsenal and Aston Villa was played back in November 27, 2010 where Arsenal thrashed Aston Villa with the score-line 4-2.

Manchester city won FA Cup by defeating Stoke city in the Finals [Highlights]

Manchester city won FA cup final against Stoke City by 1-0 and entitled themselves as FA Cup Champions 2011. Stoke City who were performing great in the past few matches, couldn't score against Man City and lost this match as well as FA Cup trophy. First half of the match went goalless with yellow card to Robert Huth. Both the teams were desperately looking to hit the net in the second half and at 75th minute of the game, Yahya Toure for Manchester City hit the back of the net that gave Man City 1-0 lead and also, it secured victory and FA cup title as there were no gaols found from Stoke City till the end. Below are the match details + highlights and yeah, Congratulation to Manchester City.

Manchester United are Premier League Champions 2010-2011

Info: Having won a record 19 league titles, four League Cups and another record 11 FA Cups, Manchester United is the most successful club in the history of English football. The club has also won three European Cups and is unique in having won a Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League Treble, in the 199899 season.
Manchester Untied only needed one point to secure their 19th Barclay's Premier league title in today's match against Blackburn. Match tied by 1-1 where Wayne Rooney for Manchester United scored from the penalty spot to and secured 19th league title at Blackburn. Both sides had chances to score early on before goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak's flapping led to Brett Emerton's volleyed opener for the hosts after 20 minutes. United were seriously up against it - Martin Olsson hit the woodwork with a header for Blackburn - and struggled to recover until the flashpoint with 20 minutes left. Now Manchester United will be concentrating on UEFA Champions League's final against Barcelona on May 28, 2011. It would be a huge achievement for them if they also beat Barcelona in the finals. Congratulations to Manchester Untied team.
