First Android phone from the Walkman series of Sony Ericsson has been announced. The W8 looks like XPERIA X8 but with more bright colors and with the logo of Walkman.
Sony Ericsson W8 comes with the 3-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a 3.2 Mega Pixel camera. Internally, it includes 600MHz single-core processor ticking, with 168MB of RAM. Unfortunately, Sony Ericsson the W8 will run Android 2.1 because most Droids run Froyo or even Gingerbread. Nevertheless, this is the first Walkman phone to run the Google mobile Operating System. Price for W8 is not yet confirmed. However, its is expected to release in the second quarter of 2011.
